AI/ML is changing the way media companies produce and distribute content. In this workshop, we review many of the ways AI/ML can be applied throughout the entire media production and distribution process. We build an end-to-end metadata enrichment workflow that extracts meaningful metadata from content (audio, video, and images). We then build a solution that uses Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Comprehend, and Amazon Translate to analyze content, then utilize it to enrich the viewing experience and assist with compliance. We also build and train a custom object detection model, which will be used to augment the data that Amazon Rekognition provides. We will cover all aspects of AI/ML-based metadata generation, from labeling a dataset, to training and hosting a model, and validating the metadata prior to playout.

The AWS Training & Certification and Media Solutions Architect teams will be leading advanced, hands-on workshops on how to design and build well-architected, serverless media solutions using AWS Elemental and Amazon Web Services API-driven artificial intelligence and machine learning services. Developers (including Asset Managers, Digital Team Members, DevOps and Streaming Engineers) are encouraged to attend. A Windows or MAC laptop WILL BE REQUIRED to participate; iPads, tablets, and other personal devices are not supported.

To ensure the best learning experience, please arrive prepared with the following:

  • Laptop (Windows or Mac), with full power (charging in room is limited)

  • Laptop power supply

  • Chime Full Client installed - https://aws.amazon.com/chime/trial

  • Notebook/pen if desired

Note: We will be utilizing the AWS Event Engine platform to run the workshops, so an existing AWS account will not be required to engage with and complete the workshops.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the workshop that you are interested in attending, as seating is limited and first come, first served.
